NEW MANTSE FOR UNIVERSITY OF GHANA INSTALLED

The
grand occasion, which ushered the new royals into traditional office at
the Akuafo Hall Gardens over the weekend, was characterised with pump
and pageantry and display of rich GaDangme culture.
The
occasion was graced by high profiled GaDangme leaders including the
Tema Mantse, Nii Adjei Krakru and Accra Mayor, Mohammed Adjei Sowah.
Parents, well wishers and tens of GaDangme students from University of
Ghana, University of Professional Studies and other institutions were in
attendance.
The
Tema Mantse, Nii Adjei Kraku and the Accra Mayor, Mohammed Adjei Sowah
encouraged the students to continue to hold the GaDangme customs in high
esteem and to be relentless in pursuing their dreams.

The
immediate past King, Nii Teiko Kwao Ohetse II and Queen, Naana
Buernakie Osamahem I, both called on their successors to continue
working to realise the quest to better lives of GaDangme indigenes and
sustain their customs and traditions.
The
new King, Nii Afadi Annoh VI also mentioned that all paramount chiefs,
divisional chiefs and other stakeholders should do their best to resolve
all conflicts and ensure togetherness and peace. He also called on
Philanthropists and Corporate Bodies to support the association's annual
rural outreach program.

The
new leaders shall for the next academic year, 2017/18 head the GaDangme
Students Association of UG. The Association advocates for the Best
Interest of and works to improve the welfare of GaDangme Students. It as
well, visits rural communities within GaDangme Land to organise free
classes and donate resources for their upkeep.
The King and Queen shall be supported by Felix Papanii Annoh (Nuumo Papanii Annoh),
